The MSS Box Truck is a vital extension of our warehouse and a key asset in our fight against food insecurity. It allows MUNA Social Services to transport food, hygiene supplies, and essential goods between our central facility and dozens of pantry sites across boroughs and neighboring states. Since its introduction, the truck has enabled us to maintain a timely and reliable delivery schedule, even in underserved or transit-limited areas.
Impact on Transportation & Community Access
With the support of this vehicle, MSS is able to restock over 30 pantry locations each week and deliver directly to community-based events and pop-up distributions. The truck plays a crucial role during seasonal campaigns such as Ramadan food drives, winter relief efforts, and back-to-school events. It ensures that critical supplies are delivered quickly and with care to families who need them most.
